What a beautiful restaurant. Really innovative. And the food looks tasty. I like his take on being different: gumbo pizza 🍕. Now that's worth a try! 😊

Stokely is a great singer, I love him in mint condition, very unique voice, InStyle and in singing, when will you guys post him emulating Rick voice ? I want to hear him emulating Rick's singing voice ? Gpentertainer/ The Rick James tribute artist
@letmesing68685 ай бұрын
I have to say it wasn’t like he emulated Rick. He sang the songs in his own way but it totally worked.

Stokely has so much training, power and beautiful tone in is vocals - you don't even think about him portraying someone else. His charisma is just as strong as Rick James was, so it works so e joyablely.

Stokely is a musical legend! You never heard of Mint Condition?? They were all over the radio in the nineties up until today! Stokely is one is COLDEST SINGERS EVER! You never heard, "Pretty Brown Eyes" or "You send me Swingin"?

What? He would probably say to this, I'm Stokley.....! You connect the dots. Respectfully.
@mskimlouise5 ай бұрын
If Prince was still alive, you could ask him who Stokley is and he would tell you-with all types of respect. Stevie Wonder was interviewed once and the interviewer asked him who he admired in the industry. He said Stokley. It’s too bad that you aren’t familiar with this Grammy-nominated artist, but enough people are to warrant his portrayal of Mr. James. I hope you get a chance to see him perform live. You might change your position.
@annetteanderson75796 ай бұрын
Stokley will do great as Rick James. He has the look and the capability to bring Rick James to light with his own style and flare. Honestly speaking, Stokley is confident. But he seems somewhat uncomfortable with his shirt so widely opened. I have never seen him perform this way with MC. With that being said, maybe I'm uncomfortable. Stokley is the man and forever will be the man. I wonder who will portray this Legend? #TeamStokley& MC.

I love KRS and what he's given hip hop. However, i disagree with his aspect on the youth. Younger hip hop artists and youth in general for the most part do not care about the origins of hip hop nor do they want to hear what the older generation has to say on this subject matter. These new rap artists say it all the time. They do not write, dont care about the subject matter and dont care about the structure or info in what they spit. Its hard to see how we elevate the culture when the youth doesnt want to hear from the music's past generals and commanders but want us to accept their trash music. Its also tough not to hear those who've lead this music be afraid to call this new music out for its nonsense. These new rappers are never putting you on their stuff so dont pander to them.

I love how gracious KRS was with the woman in this interview,he seems like a straight up gentleman.He's my favorite rapper,I never got the chance to meet him but I used to live around the corner from the shelter he lived in when he was homeless.In fact the day the My Philosophy video was filmed a bunch of people in my neighborhood knocked on my door and said that KRS ONE was filming a video and they were letting people fans be in the background.They tried to get me to go to the video set but I said no,I regret it to this day.
