Its fine to let people come long as they dont cause harm or crimes. That's why it's important for people to be checked by means of vetting people. Why let troubling people who break rules dont care about the land or the people come? That's why it's important to have people come the rightful way. 😊 yes, if the Natives made sure good people come they wouldn't of had the troubles they had. Its just logical and smart. Thats why these evil people killed our people took our land and mistreated us. 😢

Our ancestors were great navigators and I believe they scholars traveled to Timbuktu. Champlain is relatives of DuPont family and they are related to the Menard aka Minor. Jacques Cartier in my humble opinion is a descendant of Mail Empire. Simply because he appears in my family tree. African DNA is Mali Empire. Mik maq descendants desire recognition! DuPont donated massive land mass. All interconnected!

Towards the end of this video, he's talking about the shifting changes of the women's role within the tribe, but actually it's shifting back. Women were hierarchy and very important. Clan mothers were one of the most important aspects of our culture in our tribes that helped with a lot of decision making and community support solutions.... Our men in our tribes were leaders of warriors and protectors. It was the clan mothers that brought us together to unify our strength in order to survive. They are the reason why we survived and are living here today. And you wouldn't believe it. In Womens prisons 80% of the prison population in Canada is First Nation indigenous women. All the trauma that they have been through all the drugs and alcohol that is ruined their lives. All we did was throw them in a cell and throw away the key and lock them away. Hiding there! Generational traumas and mental health issues. Kind of the government's last resort to extinguish our people. To kill off our women.

I feel for you brother and Im sorry I know the journey must have been so hard and frightening for a little boy. May the Red Road rise to meet you and Ancestry embrace you always .My good thoughts and prayers and love are with you . I heard stories from others along the way its terrible what they have done to you...and many others. I understand the hate you must feel but we know love in a dif way a way that sings to us in the morning and touches us in the night with the stars. They dont know that kind of connection but we do and no matter where we go or end up it never leaves us ..thats the oneness with all living things . We know the water speaks to us we know the wind hears us the thunder is our creators tongue ...talking

Thanks for sharing this. Wonderful hearing Poutrincourt and the rest were welcomed by Membertou and his people. My mothers a decent of the Poutrincourt ancestry and my fathers side was married into the Mi’kmaq community via one of Membertous daughters (Pierre Lejeune and Marie Kagigonias). I’m just learning all of this and it’s incredibly humbling learning about all of these stories of our past. 🧡

Fakes and lies told to push the native victim mentality ..why aren't you so passionate about the physical and sexual abuse of native children by native people? Guess there's no pricetag you can attach unlike the one you have on the church and government and hard working Canadians who had nothing to do with it
