Wonderful people. I'm lucky enough to live in a good neighborhood. I', 67 and live alone. last year part of my rain gutter was torn off the roof during a storm and my 30 something next door neighbor came over and fixed it for me, without me even having to ask him. I also have an alley behind my house and the neighbor on the other side of the alley regularly uses a weed eater to clean up the weeds around his fence and he also does my fence as well.

They did have remote controls in the 1970s, it's just nobody could afford them. In an old episode of Columbo from the 1970s they show an early VCR... the tape reel was built in and you could record and playback television as the only functions. It cost thousands back then, so not many had one.

There were only 2 things we didn’t have from this Wonderful display! I remembered everything else. 😁 We never watched the Dukes of Hazard. 🫤 I'll be 62 in October 2024. The one that stood out for me was that everything was closed on a holiday. 😅 Those of us that remember most of these.... We're in an Amazing class of a generation. ❤
