Such a shame this show didn’t last. It really did find it’s groove in the later episodes

At the beginning Sgt Smith is wrong, any appropriate adult can assist with the interview. Its up to the officer if they deem one necessary for a non PACE matter e.g. to discuss a complaint or report of a crime.

They were quite a few characters who had small parts as villains/suspects before becoming full cast members as police officers. Some more than once

This first episode premiered (Nov 1, 2000) the night before I shipped out for Basic Training. Needless to say, I didnt choose my last night of freedom at home watching this. It looks like I made the right choice. This is the first time Ive seen this, 23 years later.

20:06 transition music stuck in my mind because it sounds so like something else and i had a hard time placing it. the same chord progression as the old batman tv show theme song, but not exactly the same notes. there may be another analogue but my mind can't place it currently.

i HATE sitcoms. but i'm amazed how 'not at all bad' this is. goodman is great here and i prefer him as a sensitive character.the jokes are a bit funny even and it's almost like you could see the possibility of more shows like this being around. i'm glad what we have is at least here for people to take a look at.

The character Charlie's story in this is heartbreaking. He just wanted a quiet obscure life with a nice boyfriend, being in love and not harming or bothering anyone else. The truly perverse men who need arresting are the ones out hassling women or kids.

I wanted to like this show but I get why they canned it. 7 episodes in and we're just now finding out what Butch does for a living (contractor? Is that an easy business to pick up and move across-country twice?) And the family still doesn't feel like it's coming together. No actual gay plotlines beyond "It's a problem for the family". Too bad

This is a show you bring up when you wanna stump people on 2000s sitcom trivia
@thekiss208311 ай бұрын
Man, who was this show supposed to appeal to? Not the gays, or they would have written like, any plotlines that dealt with Buck's sexuality. Somehow he's like the least developed character on his own show? And yet it's too raunchy for a family audience. I get why this didn't stay on the air long...

Shame they wasted gay '90s-era John Goodman on a script like this.
