If you can find tapered springs like these by all means buy them. I have never found them anywhere.

I had an MSA D-12, but the cabinet was broke. I built a new cabinet, took the front neck gear & moved it over. I replaced the changer plate, so that it only had one hole... When it was done, It looked like new & played like new. It took my about a year... I had a great U-12

Very interesting and thought provoking video. I am curious, so could you or someone please tell me at 0:42 why two of the changers are set back from the four ahead of the two in question. The two changers also have the strings running under rollers. Is this a method of raising or lowering the pitch. Beats me.

Can I ask what open string tuning you are using and what happens when you depress the A and B pedals., also the knee lever. What string gauges are you using and I take it that you are playing through a Peavey 400 amp. I really would like to know more about this 6 string pedal steel, as it sound ok to me. Cheers... Les
@rzsdad12 ай бұрын
Les: It is an E9th tuning. High to low it is G# E B G# F# E. .011 .014 .018 .022 .026W .030W. A pedal raises B to C#. B pedal raises G#'s to A. Lever lowers E's to D#. I am playing through an old Peavey bandit 65. Thanks for watching!
