Cutter should had been behind that truck when it left the set..... I'd of fired a hand for that here in Arkansas .. got to think ahead when it's muddy, we got red clay here too, steep hills, it aint worth tearing up equipment on ...don't cry over a muddy log truck, that means it's a working truck, another thing..... Always load that pole trailer back up, I don't care if your going 5 miles, that weight over them tandems pays off...plus if you gotta stop fast....let's just say youll be glad you did.. Great video
@251boys19 күн бұрын
We know all about a folding pole trailer he has had that trailer for 19 years and has always pulled one since he went in business in 96 and it’s hard to fire someone when they are the one who owns the stuff
@ltpinc.433018 күн бұрын
@251boys I've been running folding pole trailers since 1984 when I got out of high school. Been running Macks and Nabors folding pole trailers since the get go You cant run fast enough to give me a 4 bunk, two of my trailers will couple up and bunk a 16 foot log, and I can extend the back stakes on all three of my folding pole trailers, We generally haul 1000 ton a week running three trucks, two 518 cat grapple skidders, a Barko 775 cutter and Barko 275 loader and delimber. I've got a 160 Barko mounted on a Mack where my drivers can load themselves so the delimber doesn't have to quit delimbing to load trucks. I've got my own sawmill so that makes it nice, we don't haul to big mills that make us wait to get unloaded. I understand what you are saying, but when it's wet and slick and there is a hill to climb coming out of the woods, it's mandatory that two skidders is on that truck when it leaves the loader, I've got a cat dozer and cat grader on the job pretty much all the time, our roads is a lot of red clay and you know that stuff is slick when it gets wet. Keep on posting those great videos and I'll keep watching. We are kinda private over here, Timber Harvesting magazine wanted to do a write up on me about 10 years ago and I declined. Maybe one day when I retire, I'll start making some videos, but it's highly doubtful as I don't think I'll ever retire. Thank you again for the great videos .

@TimHollis3006 I was raised around logging and didn't want a life slightly above poverty. With wood prices up and down. Break downs and weather as well. Money flows through the pipeline, but doesn't stick really. To each is it own. The young man had mentioned in a video he was pursuing a degree in college.
