Okay and is it smart? Like I can tell that it was well planned but the question is that the traces y’all left, do y’all care about those and did you take care of it?

2 inch lift, snorkel, and good tyres needed. There was nothing there the pajero couldn't do as shown in the video, it's proberbly the most capable there with these upgrades 👍

Thanks! Yeah this video was 3 years ago and some of the work that you've listed is done (although a timely reminder to keep moving it forward). And I'd also say that I'm more trusting of the paj and her abilities. Thanks for your thoughts

Keep at it mate and watch some 4wd vids. The Paj is an incredibly capable vehicle even stock standard. Especially with the standard front and rear lockers on the GLS & Exceed. There’s nothing in that video that could come close to stopping it.

I honestly can't remember as I filmed this about 2 years ago and was lazy with the edit.... but id guess 20-22 maybe? They just never look that 'flat'
@spencerm106
@spencerm106 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah okay, I'm sure you've learnt this by now, but you probably should have been running 12psi. It'll look stupid flat with 18s, but you need too in those conditions. As long as you drive sensibly you won't have a problem. I also find on hot days to keep checking them. I was fine running around all day once at 14psi then got stupid bogged, only to find tyres back at 18psi. Not from driving fast, just hot sand. The others, especially that "Luke" guy is definitely way too high. No way you should be bogging down in that. I ended up changing my 265/60r18 on my Prado to a 275/75r17. Skinny tall tyres are best in the soft sand here in WA.

Thanks for the video theres not many good perth 4wd videos out there. I got a NL Pajero stock and Would like to try this out. I have Been up to the pines and two rocks they're alright but gets boring.
@brucegarrod
@brucegarrod 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks JJ - greatly appreciated. I agree, Perth is hard because there are great places, but they take a while to get to - you can see why the local guys like Ronny Dahl have had to go over east etc. The Sandy Cape video and Moore River 360 might also inspire you. If you're looking for a recommendation on a simple track - then Sea bird/guildteron is worth a look. Its an easy but reasonable something something for stock, and theres great ocean views - just dont hit the beach, its super soft.

Nice vid... Got an NX Paj. the 2 inch lift makes all the difference. King springs and Koni Suspension was my choice. Also a set of Cooper St max. A custom tune as well. Keep testing yourself.

Thanks David :) I ended up with a lovell/blisten 2in combo, which went in shortly after the Sandy Cape video was shot back in Jan 19.... I just havent edited that one yet. Tune wise - yeah, Im keen - its on the list along with roof rack. Tyres - Im thinking Nitto Ridge Grappler - read good things and they look tastey.... just the cost of doing all of it hahaha. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment :)

@brucegarrod 4 жыл бұрын
Oh for sure! Brock and Jimny went so well.... And absolutely no fear. Ive certainly learnt the pajero can do so much more, but at the time, and first bigger trip out, you don't really want to overcook it and smash up your new car...... Wouldn't want to be the newbie 4wd person who ends up with a bunch of comments on KZbin about being a plank for that. Hahhah

Bruce Garrod Thanks, Bruce. We were thinking of doing something like this to our friend & wanted to see your planning.
@brucegarrod
@brucegarrod 7 жыл бұрын
Jayson Ozog No worries. Planning really just involved having the driver involved so they knew what was happening and where and making sure it was in a suitable location. Then, as the target left one of the cars got a message from the driver so everyone knew when to start moving. Outside of that we also made sure that the vehicle had disabled locking and that the driver undid the target seat belt. Care was taken for valuables like sunglasses and phones. The target actually freaked out, thinking it was real, so at point his name was used to show that it was a prank and that helped him go along with getting out of the car. Hope that helps
