To do a push-up with proper form, you should: Start position Place your hands slightly outside of shoulder-width apart at chest level. Your feet should be hip-width apart and parallel to each other. Head and neck Position your head so your ears are in line with your shoulders. Look slightly ahead of you, not straight down.  Elbows Keep your elbows bent at about a 45 degree angle, and several inches from your sides.  Movement Exhale as you push from your hands and heels, bringing your torso, chest, and thighs off the ground. Pause for a second in the plank position, then inhale as you slowly lower back to your starting position.  Finish Stop just before your nose touches the floor.  Some common mistakes include letting your belly sag or arching your lower back. To help maintain proper form, you can try pulling your belly button in and tightening your abdominal muscles. You can also film yourself to check your form. ❤
