I felt like I was reading a book written in the South in the 1850s. People said the exact same arguments for slavery back then. They claimed that the slaves were generally happier enslaved. They didn't want freedom and wouldn't know what to do with it. According to pro slavery apologists at the time, they claimed the real problems were meddling abolitionists and a few bad slave owners. Seriously, it was like a southern politician came forward in time and wrote a fantasy book. I couldn't believe that the exact same arguments would be put in a popular children's book written in my lifetime. She even made the only disagreeing house elf info a literal magical "negro" which died saving a pitiful white boy. That so many people are okay with this is deeply concerning.

The blue Kyptonite gives Kryptonians their powers under a red sun but takes their powers away under the yellow sun. The green kryptonight doesn't do anything to them under a red sun 'cause their entire planet was made out of green kryptonite crystals. The green kryptnight turns radioactive under the yellow sun. That's why it can kill Superman under the yellow sun. I don't know for sure, but I'm thinking. Gold kryptonite would give him his powers back forever under the red sun. I don't know what red, black, or silver. kryptonite would do under red sun, though.

I watched it one episode, but the fact that they get “superhero headquarters” in a later season is just silly. The magic school at least makes some sense in the original, but what’s the point of white lighters if the girls can just magically teleport to save every witch?
