The Deere's tires are made specifically for dirt, not wet asphalt, so put them in the dirt and start over, or put slicks on the Deere,

just imagine if the cat had the wider tracks on.. probably would have pulled both tractors

+2007dalin Actually wider tracks would have been worse because there would be less pressure on the ground leading to less pulling power. Tracks really only have flotation over wheels, they cant pull as hard, especially in mud.

Not at all. the more surface area you have the less pressure being applied to the ground resulting in less traction. Trust me I've driven both a 8370RT and a 9410R on the same graincart and couldn't make it up the same hills with the same load. The tracks just start spinning while the wheels just keep pulling. The tracks will make it through any mud puddle but not up a muddy hill.

joel champagne The challenger may have been able to pull one tractor simply because it weighs more, but if you got an equally heavy tractor on the other end it would have pulled it just as easily.

all i saw was a tractor with superior traction being pulled along like a plow and start pulling when the other two gave up and then was pulled backwards again.
