genuinely considering getting a mini as a first car, everyone seems to be getting polos but having driven one of these once theyre fun to drive and i like it so yeah.

Looking to buy one of these soon, any things i should look out for when viewing the car. I have seen a 2010 with 76000 miles on the clock, just worried about engine issues I have seen online. Cheers

I just got my first job, which means i can afford driving lessons again after the first 5 that my dad and grandma gave me for my birthday, and i can finally afford a car. I’ve always wanted a mini ever since i was a kid and even more so after my mam had one. So i’m definitely looking at getting a mini one for my first car. I’m going to put the little toy dog she had on her dashboard in her memory. Excellent few videos you’ve done on this car by the way :)

I know this is an old video now but does anyone else find the mini ones really angry when pulling off in 1st gear. You only have to touch the pedal and I wasn't to fly off.

Great looking Mini mate, like the wheels! I just aquired my sister in laws 2009 Mini First (yep poverty spec, which has steel wheels, I like the utilitarian look it has) she wanted more tech so snapped it up for £800!! Bargain I know! It has 149,000 miles on the clock, so it's been a busy little car, make sure you change the oil every 6/8,000 miles or yearly, as these 1.4 Prince engines like to drink some oil and burn it! Great little cars though, and I learned to drive on one 15 years ago when the first NEW Minis were released!! Now I'm 35 years old, (I sold my Volvo estate for this ha) it's good to be back in this little car, and paying just £140 fully comp insurance it's such a cheap car to run!

I was falling in love with driving in Suzuki Wagon R+ 1.3 17 year old. You don't need a rocket to find out you are made for driving. This week I bought my 2012 Mini One Convertible in chili red and had that vibe straight away- pure joy! 🚗. My Mini also does Vrooom a bit and I love listening to it's little roar :)

nice video! how do you find the noise on the motorways? im looking at buying a 2007 1.4 mini one ( the same colour too lmao ) in the next few months, and have heard that it can be noisy on motorways? is it bearable on long motorway journeys? how have you find the noise ( road / tyre etc ) ?

that 0 to 60 was a really bad launch, you need 5000 rpm and then dump the clutch. 2000 rpm launch is not for an all wheel drive car.

The wheelbase is longer than a Porsche 992, it just looks short. I've ordered a GR yesterday. Keep my Mk7 GolfR 3 door manual as my daily.

I don't mind that it's an "yaris", most people will think it's just another yaris, and people who knows cars, knows how special this car is

I just recently retired my first car which was a Mini Cooper 2006 Park Lane. Great car until the repair costs would of exceeded the value. I got it at 70K on the clock and ran it until 127500 so I did ok. Replaced it with a Cooper S Countryman 😀

I have a Red GR here in Australia. It's not the circuit one or in aus it's called Rallye. Still a great car but like Ped said. It's not perfect. Fast car if you get it in the right rev but if you let the revs fall and floor it. Then it takes a second or so to hit. PS Like you guys said it's not hold on for dear like fast stock as the AWD takes away most of the push. Best new car for the price. Go Toyoto. What a feeling lol.
