Ok so everyone's been saying this is just a cheap alternate ending but what they missed is the Looking Glass Version. During the events of the game, it's version 2.3 or something, and when you finally get the ending that Alex was looking for, its version 3.5. **SPOILER** When you get this ending, it's version 3.1, implying that this Typhon simulation happened just like all the others, and was one of the many failed attempts Alex and the Operator personalities initiated. So this ending did happen. It just fills in the gap for why Alex looks noticably older by the time the right Typhon comes along.

AC3 is the first AC game I have played and was quite surprised that the character of Connor was disliked by fans. I've always thought he was quite a good character, yeah sure he makes some poor decisions, emotionally driven in some cases especially when it comes to Haytham and Lee. People say his stoic and direct personality makes him a boring character but I think his personality is just fitting for someone who is an Assassin, not to mention him being a mohawk which at the time are looked down upon by both americans and brits.
