After a massiv storm, the forest floor is try, clear to me that the tent inside is also dry, even the outside of the tent is dry. 😂😂

@blimeylimey13 literally sitting in a torrential downpour at this very moment, completely dry. I usually treat my tents, but I have never added anything to this one.

What I've gathered from the comments I've read, is that older versions of this had that problem, but it's been fixed, and newer 3 sec tents are properly waterproof.

If it can be “drained” is it actually a lake, or is it a reservoir? I don’t know of many true lakes that can be drained, without mechanical means.

Naturalist, about why the Army U.S. Corp of Engineers lowers the lake levels every winter. ”The purpose of the drawdown is to increase the lake storage capacity for water so that it's capable of holding any meltwater from winter-time rains or snowmelt." These low lake levels also prevent flooding in the spring.Dec 12, 2020

Not if it is staked down properly. I was actually testing two tents that trip, there was a massive storm that night. This tent is also completely waterproof, it performed perfectly.

I got a good, if very brief, look at it before the camera started. It moved like a ferret (hopping) and had a long skinny tail. Only about a foot long and super fast, I really think it was a mink.

I am looking at tuctecs myself. Are you still using them? Have their been any problems and is the performance acceptable?

We don't use them very often, but there have been no severe issues. We upgraded the seat, opting for a stadium type seat self supporting. Also, you cannot pull up on the bow, for example, to pull someone in or with a rope attatched to stand up. Pulling it up can release the front latches. I suspect really high waves might do the same. You also cannot put weight on the sides, so must be able to stand up on your own. I have even seen people rise up from a kneeling position. All in all, it is really stable, has lots of cargo space, and seems durable. It is pretty much exactly as advertisement. If space is an issue, these are a good choice.

Did you say upgraded seat ? That seems to be my only concern, the seat, did you enhance it in some way or replace it with something else?

I have experimented with different additions, I am picky about comfort. So far, my best set up is adding a stadium seat for more back support, then another foam pad on top for cushiness.
