Hi, never stayed overnight at the Chongkak recreational park. They allow camping, which you need to pay for camping permit.

Now you need a permit to enter. For other forest reserve like Panti, Bukit Wang, we take from Perlihitan. For Perdik we have not tried to go after they put these restrictions.

I am using Birds of South-East Asia by Craig Robson.. check for local field Guides which will be helpful identifying birds.

I usually go there around 8am and do birding till 12nn.. Now it is under forest reserve which you will need a permit to enter.
