Thanks man, I'd say some of the best ways to get more power out of these would be -Precat Deletes -3rd Cat Delete J-Pipe -Lightweight Wheels -Ktuner There's definitely other mods that help with power and speed but I'd say these are some of the best bang for your buck

For the J-Pipe, I ordered it from here: (www.heeltoeauto.com/rv6-performance-v2-race-j-pipe-2009-14-acura-tl-sh-awd-ua9.html.) According to their website they only have a few left in stock just to let you know. If not then you should be able to get it from here (rv6-p.com/collections/tl-4th-gen-09-14-downpipe-exhaust/products/awd-jpipe-232) For the custom magnaflow catback, I used two magnaflow 11225 mufflers, one for each side (www.magnaflow.com/products/11225-magnaflow-4-x-9in-oval-straight-through-performance-exhaust-muffler-11225?currency=USD&variant=18434141782131&Google%20Shopping&stkn=de234222c0e8) paired with these 4 inch quad tips I got off ebay (www.ebay.com/itm/271293188654?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D777008%26algo%3DPERSONAL.TOPIC%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20240130164827%26meid%3D5089c99857f2452b80150180c1579a24%26pid%3D101959%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26itm%3D271293188654%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D4375194%26algv%3DRecentlyViewedItemsV2WithMLRV6RankerPricelessTop30Features&_trksid=p4375194.c101959.m146925&_trkparms=parentrq%3Afc36e9fe1900a51464809db2fffee738%7Cpageci%3A34a32718-4d4e-11ef-8a02-62d7767ea264%7Ciid%3A1%7Cvlpname%3Avlp_homepage). You’ll have to take these to a muffler shop and have them weld them in for your car. Unfortunately these weren’t bolt on parts so I had to get them welded in by someone. The J-Pipe however is a bolt on part, which I was able to install myself in under 30 minutes

Is it normal for the 2013 Acura tl sh awd to jerk a little around 2000rpms? When I’m at a stand still and give moderate throttle it sortve bounces a little bit or jerks around 2000. I’ve watched the gauge and it isn’t dropping or anything while it happens the rpm’s remain stable. I’m not sure if it’s something that’s normal or something I should get checked out
@SH-AWD5 ай бұрын
If you’re talking about normal acceleration, I think it could be the transmission locking and unlocking if I had to guess, but I’m not really sure. Sometimes I notice it too
@joshoconnell38815 ай бұрын
@@SH-AWD it’s when I accelerate normally starting at 0mph. I just reset my transmission and it seems to be doing a little better but I’m not 100% sure. It’s not really bad it’s just a slight jerk before I go into second.

@@joshoconnell3881My transmission does jerk too sometimes, but I haven’t really noticed it being too bad I’d say if you were concerned, it wouldn’t be a bad idea just to check it out by a mechanic. Also, if your transmission fluid is dirty then it can contribute to a jerky transmission

@@SH-AWD It’s worth it! We have it on all of our vehicles. I wasn’t sure the first time I got it. I bought it used so I took the chance. I ended up getting it for our other cars as well. One thing about it is to fully take advantage of it, you have to do some simple performance upgrades. A simple air intake upgrade and a high octane gas does it.

How planted was it and how confident were you pushing it knowing its 3800+ lbs?
@SH-AWD Жыл бұрын
The car felt very planted. The weight is noticeable for sure, but the torque vectoring in large helps make the car feel stable at high speeds and around corners, since the system is constantly managing power delivery to all 4 wheels. Overall the car ends up feeling very composed, which in part gives you a lot of driver confidence
@sgt_undead2748 Жыл бұрын
@@SH-AWD im considering buying one any advice?
@SH-AWD Жыл бұрын
@@sgt_undead2748 These 4th gen TLs are definitely solid cars for sure. In general, these cars don't have very many issues and can easily go up to 200k miles without any major issues. However there are some things to be cautious of: These 3.7L V6s have the tendency to burn oil, so that's something to be aware of. Only some of the 4th gen TL's got recalled for this, but there's still many out there that still have this issue which never got recalled (including mine). Secondly, I would recommend to make sure the timing belt has been done at the right interval (70k-100k miles). If it's been taken care of, then it should be all good. Lastly, I would recommend purchasing one with a manual (despite it being so hard to find). If you can't find one, that's not a problem but you will have to deal with the annoying 120mph speed limiter if you get one with the 6AT (2012-2014 only) In the end, these are all around great cars and I would personally recommend buying one if you can find a good deal on them 👍
