They really nailed it and it sounds great but you are fighting a losing battle playing in front of 90,000 dyed-in-the-wool bogans. However much the AFL may wish it so, genuinely good music and football don't mix.

One of the most best shows I saw during my formative years in the early 2000s as a very young adult was Paul Dempsey live solo acoustic at The Corner Hotel. I was tagging along with some friends, not knowing what I was getting into. Definitely was a lesson in not judging a book by its cover, as I'd only really acknowledged Something For Kate by their singles they'd released by that point.

playing at the AFL or NRL is never going to sound good or look good especially when you have idiots behind them who are more interested in doing stupid stuff for the camera than to listen to good music.

Raiders 1989-95 were the absolute business. Went to every Bruce Stadium for 91 - 94 seasons, think they lost maybe once to St George 🤔. They were brilliant

Yep. Travelled down with a supporters bus for Wests in 91, who had beaten Canberra at Cambelltown earlier in the year and were looking pretty strong. Raiders destroyed Wests that afternoon at Bruce. I had the giant black and white flag, not much use that day.

As a kid watching the Raiders I always wondered why they didn't pass it to Mullins more. I swear everytime he touched the pall he scored
