A sweep around the 14th measure might make that transition seem a bit less abrupt. Reverse a cymbal crash or something and fade into it.

i did the reverse crash and put a tremolo filter over it and added some harmonized melodies with a bunch of synth leads

Let some tight, punchy drums do a quick snare and kick fill into the next section, and bring in a nice Reese bass or a subbass or something with it. Some lowpassed percussion would be cool too, I highly recommend the cymatics Made with Lotus pack for that (free)
