As Shobha ji mentioned this is all for your benefit. Wise men made all these philosophy only for our benefits to human beings. Forgiveness is not for any one else's benefit it is for our own benefit

Otherwise if we see Brahman in everyone there is no duality so there is no love or hateresd and hence forgiveness would be easy to achieve
