Nice service but the problem is that all those costs (VAPI / LLM / Voice / TTS / RAG / Workflows / Phone line / etc) add up and at one point the $$$/minute and/or monthly is way too expensive for customers.

Tried the free version and it has a long way to go. In basic settigns, there is so much of repititions, sometimes the speaker ends up reading the prompts, sometimes, its like talking to someone else. Latency was good though. Will keep a lookout. Vapi is comig out with more improvements that will make give us reduced latency, so watch out for that

@@HugoPodw Def not even close. If you were not tracking that data to compare it's just assumption. Just to get started with this is not even the same price....
@HugoPodw17 күн бұрын
@@tylanmillertech First of all the latency improvement is not an assumption. I built a program to measure exact latency and Vapi (at-least web based) performs worse, and the price, if all minutes are used it is pretty similar if you do the maths 👍
@HugoPodw17 күн бұрын
@@tylanmillertech The latency difference is not just an assumption; I developed a program to measure the latency of Voice AI conversations. If you're referring to the price, $99 divided by 600 equals $0.165. This is more expensive, as the average for Vapi is around $0.10. However, I do understand your point. Pay-as-you-go is defo much more convenient for Voice AI.

Our cost per minute (not TTS + LLM, which we provide at-cost) is actually lower than Vapi's $0.05, and gets even cheaper as you scale up.

It's $99 for 10 hours. You can hire a secretary for $3000 a month. If you're a startup you just pay $99 and don't need to hire someone for 3000/mo. But if you're doing serious business, you can use this service until your cost reaches around the salary of a secretary and use this for off hours like midnight. The problem is $99 is a monthly fee. not pay per use. So if you don't have ANY business to start with you use VAPI, because it's ppu.
