Flat and double flat. They are referring to the intervals of each arpeggio 👍

can you get a similar tone cheaply? all i have is a GNX4 and this orange crush amp. also have a princeton fender amp and a sm57 if I really need to. I know how to route the signal using amped roots, amplitube, etc
@KarlgoldenКүн бұрын
Pretty sure I just used stock Logic Pro X plug-ins for this! Nothing fancy at all 🤘
@mpoadmin2978Күн бұрын
@@Karlgolden I can probably get similar tones using the orange amp then problem is I'm really bad with mics. All i have is a cheap sm-57 i don't know if i can get "decent' recordings with jsut that on the orange crush 20

It is too generic and even though it is difficult it doesn’t give much uniqueness and soul into the piece. I enjoy Floods as you can tell but my profile.

These 100 riff videos never play Aqualung intro, just a bunch of noise riffs with too much distortion.

When Sterling dropped the new CT50 version a few years ago. I snagged an HSS in firemist silver to do some modifications to. Its really impressed me, with the roasted maple neck and fretboard. Locking tuners are a nice spec, and the output jack is of really good quality. Everything else I upgraded for various reasons. I've got around $350 in parts, including straplocks. The trem units are the best 2 point set ups on the market, and perfectly adequate. Its just a great all around killer guitar. That can pretty much do it all, the way I've got it set up. Sure beats spending thousands on a fancy brand name guitar. And having to do some of the same upgrades to it. Its a great time to be a guitar gearhead. Peace!

Hi, i just bought your book. I have a question about the licks in the first book. Say i memorize all the licks from 1d to 1m in the first book. Can i take those 10 licks and combine them into 1 long solo?
@Karlgolden14 күн бұрын
That's a fantastic idea! And don't hesitate to tweak or develop those ideas as you go-that's how you start to make them your own and put everything together. Use the concepts in each chapter to bridge the gaps. For example, try playing one of the licks from the book, then improvise with a hexatonic shape or an arpeggio for a few bars, and return to the same lick or a different one to really internalize the sound. Next time, you might experiment with one of the 3NPS shapes, improvise for a bit, and then transition back to a lick. There are no strict rules-it's all about ingraining the sound of each mode into your head and fingers. It’s absolutely worth the effort! Another great exercise is to explore related modes. For instance, from the Major scale, try playing Dorian, Phrygian, and Aeolian ideas one after another over the same looping minor chord in the same key. You can alternate between licks from the book and improvising with shapes. This helps deepen your understanding of the modes and their relationships while improving your overall fluency.

@Karlgolden thanks for the reply. I have exercises 1d and 1e memorized so far. I want to memorize the licks first and then go back and learn the music theory behind them. What I want to do is come up with riffs for the licks and make instrumental music that way. I'm trying to write music that doesn't need drums or any backing tracks, just the guitar by itself.
