Somebody really knew how to put talented people together on that show. It’s a fact that Heaven has more musical folks than we ever will on earth right now. How wonderful it will be when we all get together again and have a great sing along. Meantime we can enjoy these clips and get a lot of joy from them.

Grandpa played in the old, claw hammer, failing style and if you watch him he hits the strings super hard to accentuate parts of a song as well as get the sound out during a live show. Broken strings probably happened regularly for him.

I bought my first Tom T. Hall record probably in 1966, and I've been a fan ever since. God, where does time go? The good news is, I never dreamed back then of having the internet and youtube. This is truly a treasure!
