*Retail* pharm. our hospitals would go down if the pharm’s didn’t show up until 9 am. No custom PN solution would ever get made lol

Amazing video. Very clean, progressional. But unfortunately pharmacy has completely drained me and made me so depressed. I’m tired of working in Texas and planning to move somewhere.

I suggest you do travel pharmacist option, it is great if you are feeling stuck in the same place, you will be moving between alot of places, experiencing new things and enjoying every different and unique experience in every different place, plus the salary is double and alot of time triple the salary in normal community jobs

I am so glad I left NYC. I use to work for most of the large medical centers as a hospital and oncology pharmacist. Extremely understaffed and high stress. Can’t even use the bathroom most shifts, forget about eating. Pay was very low compare to retail back then before PharmD was mandatory minimum degree. So I got all the stress and none of the compensation of a clinical oncology pharmacist of today. I did enjoy oncology even though my job included distribution function and compounding, not like the way they separate out the different job functions now. I did it all including the clinical part too. I really used everything I learned from school so pharmacy calculations were so easy for me that I had no problem acing the NAPLEX exams 12 years after I graduated with no refresher courses😊 I was shocked I did better than almost all the new grads fresh out of school. Hoping to call it a career in next few years and wishing all the new pharmacists the best!

I hear your fellow pharmacist, put in over 30 years in hospital. On top of all you said is the politics. I literally saved a patent. By refusing to prepare a Adriamycin prep. The interim prescribing it over rode the warnings. I contacted the head of oncology. The order was lowered. The hospital gave me a certificate “Good Catch” award. And a 5.00 discount for the cafeteria. I never used it. Lol. That’s gratitude
