hey, i have the same mip that your using. just got it and tried setting it up but one question. are the ddi's screens supposed to turn on as a desktop on each ddi?

They act as montiors, so if you not flying dcs you will see your desktop. Use SimApp Pro to setup the displays for DCS, and when you launch DCS you should see the screens go black. When you spawn in your jet youll see the screens come to life

Hey buddy, I see you have the Monstertech chair. Were you able to mount the Rhino FFB to the center of the chair? Is it too heavy or too high? I use a Virpil stick extension today, but I fear it will be too high up with the added hight of the Rhino.

Hey Papi will you get the Orion Rudder Pedals? If so will you make a video on it. I'm trying to figure out how to attach it to my sim rig. Also how did you attach the Super Taurus to your sim rig?

No plans to get them yet, but I imagine they mount to the common holes from other pedals like MFG/Thrustmaster pedals. I’m using MonsterTechUSA pedal plate for my MFGs For my super Taurus I use the MonstertechUSA throttle mount on my rig

That setup is sick, man! Personally I'm using a combination of Virpil and Winwing gear, along with a DIY button box (similar to the Winwing ones, but with added dials and toggle switches). Currently have everything mounted on a folding simpit, but eyeing an aluminum frame, most likely going with Monstertech despite it being somewhat more expensive (especially since it seems to offer quite a bit of quick release systems that should be quite useful for changing to simracing.) The stick looks sick, too, though I guess that's more into the future. I assume that that stick, combined with transducers feels crazy amazing as far as immersion goes!

Hey appreciate it! Sounds like you got some sweet hardware also! If you do go with MonsterTech I think you'll enjoy, so easy to customize and mount panels as needed. Its built like a rock, super sturdy. The VP Rhino is unreal, having the jet fight you when you are out of trim or feeling the wind moving the aircraft make for an immersive experience

@@papiplanes Yeah, that's the main reason I'm going with them. Looks like a lot of thought has been put into them. I'm basically convinced on getting the Rhino. Might as well put my name on the list since it seems there's a long waiting, and it's basically one guy. Any way to contact them to know estimated timeframe?

Great stuff. How has your experince been with the F-15e and your setup? I mainly fly the Harrier, Hornet and the Strike Eagle so I'm trying to find a setup that will work well for all three. I think you have a video showing software that enables you to use the F-18 UFC with a lot of the modules (including the F-15e). Thanks

I mainly fly Hornet, but have been exploring the F-15E and it works great with the MFDs + F15EX throttle. I am hoping WinWing creates an F15E UFC (its been rumored but nothing confirmed yet). In the mean time while flying the F15E and using the UFC, its mainly mouse since the F18 UFC does not line up that well with the needed binds.

@@papiplanes Thabks for the reply. Yeah I wasn’t sure how well Universal UFC worked with other modules. Seems like Hornet and Harrier are so close those work well but I see it being hard for other aircraft.

Peope said the F-15 grip doesnt feel comfortable on the Taurus do you agree?

In some positions it can be, when at max throttle, hitting switches near the front of the throttle or pulling the detent handles can be awkward to hit

@papiplanes my grips just came in, and it feels good to me, it does feel different but it's not bad, definitely will be my new daily driver. Hopefully the vibration motors work for me but I'm hoping it should as my unit was made in the later batch I recall, I asked the owner and he said he got it in 2022, so hoping it will work, but unable to test as my PC is fried, and I'm currently building my cockpit.😊

Not shown is the VR headset I fly with, I only use the tv when first time flyers test out the sim! Also use TV to make TikTok videos

No, for flight only shows information about your jet state of flight. So altitude, airspeed, etc. To find the carrier I would use Tacan to locate it in your jet

Papi, just discovered your channel, quality stuff bud, I have a similar setup. Nextlevel Flight Pro Pit with WinWing Topgun MFD kit + PTO 2. TM Warthog and Saitek Pedals. I am eyeballin the TM F16 Throttle combo, so sexy, and how can you pass up the new WinWing F16 Center Panel! Thanks for turning me onto the FFB stick base. Gonna get on that waitlist!

Great pit, but why would you want 96 gb of ram?! Got a nice tip for you: In 2.9 we can now calibrate the left virtual hand through 3 axis. This allows you to align the digital hands and ufc to the ufc to your real pit. Then the digital hand helps to find all the real buttons easily because both are aligned. If that makes sense. Only works for the left hand at the moment. I use the top switches of the ufc to turn the digital hands on and off. I recommend you try it.

I use hotas for most things, then MFDs which are placed correctly so that’s easier! For the switch panels, it’s muscle memory with some feeling around for which switch

Unsure, I know DCS-to-GPS supports multiple navigation apps. As along as Garmin Pilot can detect simulator data it should work. (A quick google shows Garmin Pilot works with some sims, so possibly)

They are not suppose to, but mine do. I ordered my Taurus fall 2022. Winwing has a diagram showing which buttons won’t work if your base is incompatible

I would add this in to my previous post, but when I put in links (even plaintexted) youtube tends to eat them. This is a video of a guy doing it with a Quest 3 (with its mega passthrough cameras) but it will work with any headset that has passthrough. youtube com watch v=Q0brsVwi20Q I personally prefer to interact with the ingame cockpits via motion control as it is more immersive, but it is far less effective than this approach.

Buttons 50,51,52,53,54 and 56 they weren't supposed to work on taurus. How is it posible?

Unsure, but they do. I’ve read others report the buttons do not work for them, could be due to when you ordered the super Taurus and what boards they are running

@@papiplanesfrom what I can tell they said that's the exact reason I think they upgraded the Taurus before they decided to go make a second version that has Autothrottle capabilities. I wonder what other features they will put in Taurus V2. Integrated rumble would be nice.

Correct, and this will not affect your mapping already. It only changes what is shown on the LCD displays
