Japanese village in Thailand is not new. Japanese became expat here from 360+ yeas ago in the time of King Narai of Ayuthia. At the time Japan closed their country and expels christian Japanese away to prevent the invasion and takeover via western cultures against Japan. King Narai welcomed them and granted a district in Ayuthia for the Japanese to settle in. The exiles came and lived in this country ever since.

I would say that the reason the block from Campus up is shut is because of the fire at the arts school that spread behind that block and was deemed unsafe
