Lmao the phone isn't the problem lazy parents thinking it's a digital babysitter is. A phone means a safety line at any point your kid needs you unless you're one of the horrible ones that keeps you kid locked away from the world which would make you the biggest problem in their life.
@Michaelbernoff_resultsКүн бұрын
Correct and. Know this video was a slice of a 3 hour talk. You are corect there is no issue with a phone ie dial people or a watch to call for parents friends or help it’s the other aspect of a “smart phone”. Which a child does not need constant access to. And people don’t need constant access to our kids.

@Michaelbernoff_results I mean I agree that phone have caused a whole lot of issues. But at 14, making the thousands I did a year, and at 16 and 17, making thousands more, i couldn't have done it without technology like the phone. Although it's the single worst thing that happened to society, it's also the single greatest. And I'm not saying it's all good. I fell into an addiction into pornography for a couple years, and thanks to my relationship with Jesus, I was able to be set free. So it's not all good. But I think a good portion of what children see is based off of how their parents did when raising them. I think it also should not be based on age, but maturity. Saying never is just the dumbest thing. They will be out of touch in life. And by the fact that we are progressing in technology so much faster than, and no offense, your age of people probably realize, that technology is the only way to really survive in live in modern days. I'm also not saying your generation is dumb. Actually quite the contrary, as your generation led the way for mine. So I do admire you. But I say all this to mention that phones are important. But it shouldn't be based on a timeline, or lack there of. But instead on the maturity of the individual.
@stormbreaker30272 күн бұрын
Tbh if we went back to non smart phones even pagers we'd be much better off as a society, and ppl might actually get outside an learn a few things rather than being reliant on everything.

@stormbreaker3027 I posted like an essay diving deep into my opinion, but you know youtube. Always censoring 🙄. Smart Phones are the single handedly worst invention on the planet. Yet also the best. A smart salesperson knows the one question to get any sale. And they execute it in such a sneaky way that you might not even realize they’ve done it! If you really want to make a sale - the number one question to ask is, “What’s wrong?” See, the moment someone asks you what’s wrong, and you respond with your problem, that gives them an in. They can start pitching their product to you. But the way you really lock in a sale is easier than you think. What a smart salesperson will do is not only identify the problem but provide a comprehensive solution. They prove to you that they are capable of giving you the solution you’re looking for Try it out!

This is not completely true. Yes, they won't use it later in life but that's not the reason they learn it. Every subject is like a language, you need to learn the basics (even if you don't need them) because you can learn the important stuff that comes in later grades unless you know the current stuff

There’s one simple reason why kids hate school It’s because most of what they learn isn’t practical! Instead, they learn about super, crazy math equations or the history of how the first fossil was found. Like they’re really only going to need that one or two times in their life! Now, don’t get me wrong - I appreciate teachers and know there are some out there who leave a great impact on their students But not a lot of schools teach useful life skills, they just ask kids to complete tedious tasks. Imagine if schools offered classes like ‘How to Deal with People That Annoys Us’ - wouldn’t that be smart? Think about it. ‘How to Deal with a Breakup 304,’ ‘How to Deal with Negative Thoughts 507,’ or ‘How to Invest Correctly.’ These would be valuable, right? But instead, schools focus on subjects that often don’t serve your kids in the real world. Be a parent who gives their child the confidence and knowledge to go out in the world and know how to handle situations Your kids will thank you!

OP messaged, saying I might want to repost this as a general comment instead of just a reply, so it's more visible, so did so for anyone interested: I'll admit that the use of the moniker 'loser language' can be triggering, but there are concrete factors to consider here. Neurolinguistic research has shown that language processing involves intricate networks in the brain, including Broca's and Wernicke's areas, the angular gyrus, and the prefrontal cortex. Negative language has been found to activate stress-related neural circuits, including the amygdala and the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis. This activation can lead to an increased release of cortisol, a stress hormone, which can impair prefrontal cortex function, thus hindering executive functions such as decision-making, problem-solving, and memory. Furthermore, the semiotic and semantic properties of language are central to meaning-making processes. Negative language carries connotations and associations that can affect both the speaker and the listener's conceptual frameworks. From a semiotic perspective, the signs (words) and the meanings they invoke are deeply interconnected with emotions and beliefs. Negative semantics can reinforce pessimistic and defeatist attitudes, perpetuating a cycle of negative thought patterns and emotional states. From a cognitive-behavioral standpoint, the language used in self-talk can significantly influence one's self-perception and behavior. Cognitive-behavioral theory (CBT) posits that thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected. Negative self-talk can lead to self-fulfilling prophecies by reinforcing maladaptive cognitive schemas and increasing vulnerability to anxiety and depression. Conversely, positive and clear language can foster resilience, self-efficacy, and adaptive coping mechanisms. These same maxims apply when communicating with others. Not only can negative or equivocal language have poor behavioral outcomes, it also can even affect neuroplasticity, discouraging learning and adaptation. TLDR; When you make a statement like, 'sure' or a self-deprecating statement like 'I'm bad at math', you literally affect your brain. Is he the kindest person to state things the way he did? Perhaps not. Is his way of transmitting the same information easier for people who don't want to read or understand all of the above? Absolutely. If I had one piece of advice here, remember that even if you really dislike a person or their behavior, opinions, beliefs, or more, that person may know something important that can help you achieve what you want. People do not exist in exaggerated states of right and wrong.
