holy shit. that last scene just brought so much back to me... somehow I remember watching it in late 2010 which I never would've thought, but I also associate it with a song that I managed to dig up, OneRepublic Good Life, which I added to iTunes in December 2010 - and listened to heavily the next few months while I was traveling... didn't know I had any memory of that, couldn't remember the song, only figured it out because I was pretty sure it was the same artist as Counting Stars, which I also couldn't remember the name or lyrics of but luckily found from an old mix... wow...

Best show ever. There are so many things to praise about it. I watched it way after it was over, but now I'm looking forward to rewatching it multiple times. I know I'll always enjoy it Jane, Lisbon, Cho, Rigsby, Van Pelt. Such wonderful characters, and such an amazing team

This is so good! And its good to know people still love this show today, judging by some comments on videos I've seen on the platform. I don't think any series will be better for me, than The Mentalist

0:48 is the best... Roasting these "opinion" show hosts who make a mess of current obtained data and speculate the hell out of their audience anxiety... Lost are the ages of reporting where a complete story is investigated by the journalists and final results are presented with proof and clarification to the public to understand. ✌️👍

I thought is was nice and compassionate thing to do fixing up the retired director. He was leading a lonely retirement and on the road to alcoholism. That woman with the kind heart will fill his life with joy. Yes I know it is only TV.

Agreed. Jane can be annoying to a lot of people, but he's so kind hearted. Like that time he wins the casino money and gives it to the girl who used to work there, for her mother's treatment Really a gem of a person, with a dark past, healed by the wonderful team he got, especially Lisbon. And that he got his revenge, of course

The show is so good that I'm going to be rewatching it many times. The plot, the characters, the Red John arc, Jane and Lisbon's bonding and love...And I really love Cho's humour

Imagine a team with Jane, Monk, and Columbo. No crime would go unsolved

Sure, except: Monk has too many issues to work well with others. Jane doesn't take kindly to being given advice. And Columbo would probably need a wheelchair to get around at his age. 😁

The dude with the horse played the bad guy in an episode of Psych. Shawn Spencer caught him and did so in a much cooler fashion than Jane did. Proving once again, Psych is superior to the Mentalist.

I understand where you're coming from.. but I believe the charm of Patrick Jane is unlike no other Character. The quality of episodes in the mentalist did go down in the later episodes as the emphasis was more on the arch Red John. And the way that turned out was phenomenal.

(4:00) this scene always cracks me up cause when Lisbon closes the window and goes back to get dressed, Jane sorta just stands there for a sec and then attempts to look through the peep hole, which we all know doesn't work from the outside in, but Jane just had to try anyway. 😂😂

The biggest problem with alcoholism is alcohol isn't illegal. You get caught with narcotics.. your in pretty serious shit.. but the arrogance and the availability of those who do drink and don't respect the genuine struggles of those who do.. all I can say is be interesting to see what would happen if they saw the actual ramifications and I don't mean where it's just ok now I'm uncomfortable and going home.. or walking away... But in an environment like a child where there is no out.. and then see if their attitude changed at all. Not saying people can't drink.. I'm talking about having respect towards those who abstain or need to abstain. People will justify their own rights to do something without thinking about the backlash affects upon others. There are kids who suffer because of the arrogance of drinkers who disrespect those who struggle they have no idea of the reality of what happens when some people drink. Truth is those often claiming Christianity are the worst. So busy justifying their own ability to drink a substance that alters their mood.. that they don't stop to think that for some that means violence.. not all violence is physical it can be verbal it can be emotional.. but no kid should be living in fear or screaming out silently or not so silently for help. The brush of of kids are resilient.. they can be.. but those kids grow up and are living each and every day with the affects us of the past environment. Make no mistake. It carries into adulthood.. it never really leaves. So abandonment issues are pretty real for those who have been in a genuinely violent or unstable home. Though instability isn't from moving house to house. Instability is often foundationally in inconsistency. Though a person can use it to their advantage.. learning to become more adaptable.. because truth is that's all they really know. It's not a right or an excuse to enter into criminal activity though. It might help explain the whys.. it doesn't justify them.

The problem with people who think that alcohol should be illegal are the ones who caused the mob to come into existence if everyone just took responsibility for their own selves instead of asking the government regulate things for everyone maybe we'd live in a better world

TLDR; claiming "alcoholism" is a disease. It is not. To those who have an "incurable" disease - wouldn't it be nice to just stop doing something, suffering a little withdraw a POOF!! healed! Drinking is a choice (legal or not). sickness, cancer and REAL diseases are not a choice. Struggle- pfft! Wife surfers GBH grade 4. No Known Cure. Be nice to just stop "doing something" suffer a week or two of withdraw - and she is well again. Don't talk about drunks and their "struggles" It is insulting to those with real struggles.
