I agree. That is the best video on the ladder stitch. I also like that you folded the opening into the pet to make sewing the ladder stitching easier.

so i got your pattern i ordered and looked though it i can see on the pattern where the eyes and nose go but at what point and time do you make the marks for this and how do you get them in the center of the face do you punch a hole in the makings of the pattern thats laid on top of the material i guess im making a big deal out of this part thanks for some help i wish you would show this in the video

I absolutely love the ladder stich, it's actually the first ever stich that I learned when I first got into sewing, although it's kinda tricky you'll get the hang of it after a while, just keep practicing 💖

I looked up this video thinking there had to be a better way but it turns out this is the way I naturally do it haha. I think the really important things to be gleamed from this video though are the notes about thread strength and making sure you have all your knots!(I usually only would do the first knot on the limb, didn't know to put a knot on the body as well) Thanks:)

fantastic video--very well explained! i bought my 9yo brother a huggy wuggy plushie at a fair and the arm came off last night while he was away on a school trip and he was distraught :( i've never done a ladder stitch in my life, but do embroidery and had the right colour thread so i wanted to fix it for him now he's back. worked like a charm, and now he's cuddled up asleep with it like usual; all thanks to a well-explained video! absolute lifesaver!
