I never get extended warranties with my car or take them to a dealer unless for a recall. I will take one in for service once I've hit the break in period, but that's it.

I'd say look at the GR Corolla Premium/Circuit. I picked up a Circuit and I love it. Not as tunable as this car, but it's an amazing piece of kit and lots of fun. I've been hitting up Blue Ridge Parkway in the mountains here and it is just cathartic.
