This tutorial was was a wealth of knowledge!!!! I just happened to stumble on this gold. I found the tutorial for making a vest coat, and when you said you need to first go to the tutorial for creating the pattern I stopped, and looked for the vest coat drafting video and there I found what exactly I needed . Not to blow my own horn, but after following the pattern drafting process judiciously making my body size pattern was easy, and I jumped on the vest construction tutorial. I am a novice and new to sewing, but taking the challenge to try this project was a game changer for me. Thank you for making things so easy to understand.

Looking forward to trying this, but wondering how you get it on when the fabric doesn't stretch! It's clearly not a problem but I'm surprised, I thought a top like this with non-stretch cotton would need a zipper. Should I make it a little oversized?
