I love this! I have a 318ti 97'and I want to do the same thing!!! Original GMC Boi from the jump. However I've Fallen hard for BMW. Then to find out that BMW have a lot of things that cross over, and that the 318ti came with a GM manual and The GL30 One of GM's small automatic transmission's.

It said 6.0 on the block.So it would either be the Lq4 or lq9 but with flat top pistons that would make it the lq9.Not really a true "LS" it's an iron block which is the biggest difference,it's better for high h.p. reliability.
