I drive a hgv and have thos problem at roundabouts. Theres a way to judge it by there speed, there wheels turning and there head being positioned say left snd looking left there going left or 2nd exit snd not right. Its tricky oulljng a 40 foot trailer out when some may uturn on a roundabout snd others dont indicate there intentions. We go when its clear or we got momentum to go.. also most hgv's are automatic now and take a bit longer to pull off. Lets say you pulled up at a roundabout and are goving way to 5x vehivles you havent put the handbrake on but are clutching the brakes.. so when its free you release thenbrakes and put down the accelerator.. 1 seconds go by and you still havent moved.. thats what its like driving a hgv automatic 😂

Great advice. Little Call caution though. Moving into a bike or particularly a bus lane could land you a ticket. Have the dash cam footage to prove you were moving for a police car.
