I have to say man, its quite a hike my father and I only got close to the first ponds last October. Your the only one I know of whose documented this so congratulations. Did you guys follow rockcarrins/inukshuks? I found some leading to the left of the first pond but then the trail dissapeared. So when you guys got to the top of the ridge from the campsite with the beautiful view of Killarney lake did you guys head derection wise straight into the bush like I did? Or turn right and continue on the quartize ridges (much more open) and then north to quartize lake? Thanks for this video and your reply last year.

I used to be terrified of rollercoasters as a kid (before I actually went on one). One to CW once with friends, bought the fast pass and went on every one at the park multiple times. Last time was with my wife and her family around the tine this video was made. I still have not been able to work up the nerve to ride this ride 😅😅😅

This is unreal that you made it to this lake. Im staying on the site in October that fronts the small ponds before this lake. Did you guys just use gps or phones to get there? Its obviously a bushwack, no?
@darrenatchison6656 Жыл бұрын
Yes bushwack. Mostly ridge lines though. Went up between the ponds. Used phones with satellite view. Should have service up there on the ridges. Think I used the app navionics with downloaded satellite maps. I would also like that site again but in late fall. Enjoy

Hey is the hike to this lake worthit? Are there any good ridges with worthwhile lookout spots? I've done the crack hike before and was looking to stay at site 24 on Killarney lake and trek up to Quartzite lake and hopefully check out a few ridges along the way I've scouted out with topo maps.

They dont do videos at King's Dominion, I'm at KD, and I just asked the staff a few hours ago, they said that they had never done photos or videos.
@VirginiaTombstoneRevival6 ай бұрын
They most certainly did. The companies name was Keene and Keene. They had a booth set up there also. This was back in 2000-2002. Not sure when they stopped doing the videos, but I’m assuming it was around. The time that cell phone cameras began to take over. This was also when the Hypersonic XLC was just built.

Took my gf on this at KI. She wouldn't do it until I said "well I'm doing it", her reasoning behind it was if I died she didn't want to live without me- great thing to think before getting raised 100+ feet on a steel cord. WELL WORTH the price of admission.
