Could you speed it up a little more....we can almost tell what you're doing. I've never understood why people do this, makes it really hard to learn anything from the video....looks like a nice pattern from what I could see.
@diyplay71202 ай бұрын
Hi, I will try for the next one 🙂 Sorry, but if I let the normal speed it will take too much time. I try to show a general view. If you want, you could choose to play with a lower speed from video settings...
@TheWingnut582 ай бұрын
@diyplay7120 I tried half speed and even lower, it still has the jerky motions..... kind of like stop frame animation. When you upload a video that has been "fast forwarded" slowing it down doesn't restore the quality, it just makes a crappy video go slower. I'd rather watch a 30 minute video that I can learn from rather than a 3 minute video that I get nothing from...

all your projects - espacially the tensegrity ones - are really great! Thank you for the inspiration. Suggestions for improvement: - make some difficult steps in realtime, not in time lapse - give a little bit more explanations on what and why you are doing - do not animate the explanation text, keep it fixed in one corner of the video - please do not use these four bar loops as background sound. Use music and don't stop publishing your projects ❤

Once again I comment that the construction can NOT be seen on a typical cell phone screen. You responded that you did not want the thread to be visible. Yet you state that the video is meant to explain HOW the object was MADE. So how am I suppose to build one of these structures? I find no other cube/pryimid combinations being offered in my resources, looking to YOU for information...
@diyplay7120 Жыл бұрын
In this video the piramid is rest on the strings which are on diagonals of the upper part of the below cube. After that, to balance the piramid you have to connect the bottom top of the piramid's base (middle) with the upper part of the cube... If you want to add the second cube you could ignore this part and rest the second cube on the upper top of the piramid using the same diagonals strings. Also, balance the second cube connecting the tops of the base with the upper tops of the first cube...

Did you go back and actually look at the videos? On my cell phone the lines CAN NOT BE SEEN and therefore there is no guide or explination of how the lines are routed, if in fact they were... The photo image of a DRAWING of the routing would be a BIG help...
@diyplay7120 Жыл бұрын
Hi, Thank you for your feedback. Yes, I look at the video and the lines are there. But you are right, are too thin to be clearly visible, especially on a small screen. For the next one I will try to add a image or use a more visible lines (in my opinion I try to use thin lines in order to be less visible, so to appear a floating sensation).

Do you have a recommendation on getting the grooves right withit a power saw?
@diyplay7120 Жыл бұрын
Not really. I think that the best way is to use a blade with a proper thickness. I don't have one so I do , usually, 2 passes with 1.6mm thick blade for a cut of 3mm and sanding after. I start to use some stops to obtain a 3mm cut...

One more. I know from experience that those 'strings' have to be the exact length to get the correct tension. How did you secure the string at just the right tension?
@diyplay7120 Жыл бұрын
Hi, It was hard to find a solution for such small scale... In the end I use a toothpick to fix the cable at the right tension, and put some glue. But not everytime I succeed...
@normanacree1635 Жыл бұрын
Even slowing this down, I couldn't tell if you had one line going straight down the middle. I made a version of this that had 5 rectangles instead of rhomboids and that is what I did. I threaded the string through incomplete rectangles and stretched my kite string as tight as I could between two nails. Then I completed the rectangles and glued them to the string at each point where the string ran through.

I totally agree with the first comment. I have no idea where you attached the lines to if you are going to make a teaching video. Every step should be easy to see, and fishing lines are impossible to see. Try a black thread next time. Other than that, it looks cool
