Every time Mr. Colbourne says "Miss Heywood," it is like he is secretly saying, "I love you." You know he is just dying to call her Charlotte. I think even after they're married, he will occasionally call her Miss Heywood and give her that smile.

That scene where he walks her to the front door of Trafalgar House, when they just stare at each other without a word, and she takes his hand, has to be one of the most romantic scenes I've ever witnessed on television. Then, the kiss after the ball where he puts his hand on the nape of her neck and pulls her into his arms just slays me.

The curls on Mr. Colbourne's forehead are like catnip to me. I'm literally cross whenever his hair is smoothed down. Glad to see someone else felt the same way. I think I shall have to watch this every night before bed to inspire sweet dreams. I have enjoyed all your videos. You are clearly quite talented. My favorite line...Good Night Mush.

Love this scene but why does her wig look so bad? Earlier in the day her wig/hair looked so much better. I know they often film scenes at different times but her hair stylist really did her wrong in an otherwise beautiful scene. 😢

How could they cut the scene of him walking around his property, contemplating the future? Wish the series focused more on this couple and cut some of the other storylines, many that were frankly boring.

Oh don't mind me, just back to rewatch this edit for the hundredth time! You've done such a fabulous job of capturing the tentativeness and tenderness of their blossoming love and the song choice is absolutely perfect. The fact that you managed to isolate the dialogue track from the rest of the audio in several of the scenes truly sets this video apart from other edits I've seen and makes such a difference to the whole experience of watching it. I can't imagine how difficult that must be to do, and I am in awe! I love that you switched up the tone at the last minute to include the HEA. The melancholy of (apparently) lost love, followed by happiness, is so poignant to me, and ending the whole thing with SMALWM was a stroke of genius! It made me tear up the first time I watched this and still has the same effect now. Congratulations on this stunning Heybourne video! I hope one day you'll be inspired to make more!

Just came here to say how much I adore this video edit. I just think it is sublime! I've watched it countless times and every time I am moved by the music, choice of scenes to depict the evolution of their relationship, Alexander's beautiful proposal, and then the HEA family sequence to round it all out. I thought nothing could beat your "Stay, make a life with me" video but then I saw this one. I can't believe it hasn't gotten more comments because to me it is perfection! Brava!

He was never engaged to Lady Lydia. She had a secret lover, probably the one her mother made her give up. She was excited to be engaged and couldn't tell her family so just had to confide in someone. Georgiana and Charlotte just jumped to a conclusion because Lady Montrose and Lady Lydia were clearly after him.

I am in New Zealand, and have only watched this on dvd (Region 4). There are scenes on the dvd that have been cut - reduced - but which I see in longer form on all these 'out-takes'. eg after Charlotte's interview for the governess position, the dog, Luna, races after her and she pets her. This scene is completely missing on my dvd. When she arrives back at the house on horseback with Leo after the latter's visit to Col. Lennox - that is missing also. Mrs Wheatley touching Xander's shoulder, saying something like 'do not lock yourself away again' - and she actually calls him 'Xander' - missing also. It is very frustrating. I feel short-changed, to say the least. I do not know why they do it. Thanks for uploading this deleted scene, I had read about it also 🙂

It is interesting to me that he concludes with "Good night" instead of "Goodbye." She is supposed to be leaving Sanditon as soon as she returns. Charlotte does not remind him that she is supposed to be leaving... perhaps because she has decided already that she must stay.
