Hallo DUTCHSWLSPAIN, Als je het goed vind een vraagje? Ik heb heel toevallig nu net een KIT gekocht op ebay: QRM Eliminator X-phase 1-30MHZ HF Bands Amplifier Parts Kit for SDR DIY Nu zag/vond ik de video van u en vroeg mij af welk schema gebruikt u? Heeft deze X-Phase, qrm eliminator van u ook 2 FETjes en dacht 1 transistor en 1 spoel? . En nog even over de ontvangst, Op de lange afstand gaat het lijkt me al beter maar lokale ontvangst is nog niet erg goed. Ik vind het leuk om lokale piraatjes te luisteren rond de 6300khz - am . Vriendelijke en Gezonde Groeten uit omgeving Rotterdam! Rob

the qrm is VDSL , a total disaster but who it going do deal with this noise you who are not making the noise that sux, same problem here sounds like buzzing

You have a lot of RF Ground loops, connect all the Grounds in Series and NOT in parallel, good video thanks..

My antennas are a loop ALA1530LN from wellbrook. And a rectangular loop 3 meters high and 11 long fed by the FLX1530LN from wellbrook. Those are my main antennas . Then a discone for vhf and uhf. And a megadipole from bonito and soon a megaloop from bonito

Gave demo Arie Hermans. Heb een zelfde kitje gekocht maar werkt voor geen meter. Kun je mij beschrijven hoe je het varkensneusje gewikkeld hebt? Mogelijk zit ik daar fout mee. Verder zag ik op de print dat de aanduiding van de antennes niet klopt met het schema.

Hallo Hrnk sorry voor het late antwoord wij zijn geëmigreerd naar Spanje en ik heb nu net alles op orde. Ik heb een nieuwe kit besteld en binnen. Ik zal een foto reportage maken en die posten als ik bezig ben dat zal deze week beginnen. Het varkens neusje niet meer dan niet dan twee keer wikkelen en het schema klopt echt dus ergens is er iets fout gegaan mijn kit werkte meteen de eerste keer

do you change the frequency manually both in the WJST-X and in the SDR-UNO or do you have succeded in connecting the 2 software..? In this case wich settings have you used? Tks and 73 de IU1CYF

Hi ! I also own a RSPduo but my HF+ is more sensitive on the FM band. SDRuno PS decoder is also very lazy ! SDR# + RDSspy are much better. The positive side of the duo is that it provides up to 10 MHz span (with degraded performance though).

Alps DX [FR] Hi, in the FM range it works fine but it overloads quite fast with strong signals. I have a Elad fdm s2 also a specialy in the HF and the final version sdr console V3.0 it performs better than the sdrduo with the sdruno program. The elad fdm s2 has no filtering and the range in FM and further is limeted. That is why I bought the sdrduo and sometimes it's fun to use two tuners on the same time. But a decated Hf receiver like your Hf+ will do the job better.

I agree with you on the fact that the Duo easily overloads. It's a bit annoying to continuously adjust the gain ! I also had a FDM S2, it was a fine SDR. I hope SDR Console will soon support the Duo. Have you to tried receiving DAB/DAB+ stations with your Duo ? Yesterday, I downloaded 'Qt-dab' software but got an error message and it does not work, though it seems OK with the RSP 1 and 2.

Alps DX [FR] Hi I tried indeed the dab function I can't get it to work. I tried different programs nothing seems to work . And indeed I also have to work with the gain slider and after a while it becomes annoying also on the hf. The elad does a better job but with no filtering it is on some frequencies not stabel.

That's why, despite its limited bandwidth (660 kHz), I mainly use my HF+ : better sensitivity and no overload, no slider to adjust ... Just perfect for serious DX ! I only use the RSPduo for UHF, that is not covered by the Airspy. Regarding DAB decoding, the problem comes the new API of the Duo. I hope Qt-dab developper will soon fix this so that we can give it a try ;-)

Dx south Netherlands Hi, ik gebruik als antenne een discone die op het dak staat en ben niet ontevreden maar ik ga het nog vergelijken met de andere ontvanger de elad fdm s2. Wat me wel is opgevallen id dat het afregelen en een redelijk beeld op je display best vervelend is. En de gevoeligheid is best hoog maar bij sterke signalen blijf je de gain bij regelen wat dan weer inhoud dat de kleine signalen wegvallen. In de hf presteert de Elad samen met sdr console final versie V3.0 rustiger en meestal beter dan de sdr-duo. Voor de hf heb ik als antenne de magnetic loop wellbrook lnp1530 en dat werkt heel goed maar de sdr-duo raakt ook daar snel overstuurd door dikke signalen en steeds bij regelen is in het begin niet erg maar na een tijdje ga je je aan ergeren. Zit jij ook in het Limburgse?

The Dutch SWL station Arie Hermans mooie confugiratie heb je. Ik heb een dongle RTL SDR met een disconne en een dipole voor FM. Draad 20 meter voor HF. Momenteel niet in gebruik. Ja idd in Limburg . Echt. Ik kom dagelijks langs jou QTH . Werk in Kerkrade

Arie, you are comparing apples and pears here. Clint used a random wire wich is NOT the same as a dipole with a 6:1 balun. If you would connect a random wire to your Hi-Z connector you can compare it head on. Secondly, I see that you have tuned the second receiver almost outside the bandpass window wich results in less sensivity. Move the LO right to aproximatly the same place as tuner one to create the same conditions. I do not understand why you connect a dipole with a 6:1 balun to the HI-Z input. Better use the normal 50 Ohm connection for a dipole. Even a dipole is not a good SWL receive antenna. I call a random wire and with a distance a dipole noise generating antennas. Loops are much better for SWL and that is what Clint I triyng to say with his video. A good thing is to use the Elad FDM-S2 as a reference as it is kind of a benchmark in the SDR world same as the Perseus for that matter. I also have a RSP1A and the RSPduo in use and they are playing in another league compared to the Elad. You can P.M. me in Dutch if you want more info. Good luck and 73!
