Very cool idea of showing what chord is coming up next! The time and effort you put into creating this cover/tutorial is appreciated, but have you put any effort into learning a little theory? A most basic concept in music theory is that no key ever has sharps and also a flat in it... of course we know that a Bb is the same note as an A#, but when scoring or chord-charting a song, all keys always have all sharps or all flats... A number of others who posted covers/tutorials of this song show it as played in the key of C# (with seven sharps), so if that is what you are calling it, there would be no "Bb"; it would be called an A#. For this song, a bassist considering it in the key of C# is not really problematic, with its simple I-IV-vi- V (C#, F#, A#m, G#) chord progression and playing notes within each chord based on shapes/patterns, with no real concern over the other note names… But actually, the key of Db (five flats) is the better way to consider and chord-chart a song transposed two whole-tones above an original key of A - the key of Db uses five actual flat notes - much less clunkier than the key of C#, with its seven sharps, using an F as an “E#” and a C as a "B#"... (Think about it, there are only five black keys on a piano, only 5 sharps or flats available, which is why writing/scoring songs in a key with more than 5 sharps or flats is not often done.) So this song in the key of Db would have Db, Gb, Bbm, Ab as its I-IV-ivV chords. Is all this being too critical? I don't think so... if, as a worship bassist, you want to consider an A# a Bb, hey, whatever. But as one going through the much appreciated effort of putting together a teaching video, you really should get on board with using concepts and terminology the rest of the music world is in agreement with... otherwise you will be leading beginner bassists astray :/ I appreciate you and what you're doing, and I'm not trying to beat you up, just trying to encourage you to keep learning and going higher on your musical adventure! Blessings!

Hey Eric. Thanks for the detailed explanation. My friend brought this up too. Evidently I have no background in music theory and the bass was my first instrument. And even with the bass, I’m mostly self-taught so that kind of explains. Anyways, if I ever make a video like this again, I will make sure to get it right. i haven’t played bass in a few years already…

@Sean J Lee haha nice! I play with a traveling worship group, and with them, I usually play with a Boss DB-60 (doesn't belong to me). The hardest thing is getting the click to line up with the other musicians when I'm not keeping time for them.

Your band sounds great dude! I'm really impressed with how tight you sound with your band. The video quality s great too. I actually just did a studio full band cover of Marvelous Light and would love to hear what you think! It's on my channel, and it would mean a lot if you watched it and told me what I can improve. I'm trying to come more effective as a worship leader and could greatly benefit from your advice, specifically on the drums that I tracked. I hope to hear from you soon! - Kevin
