The performance of Lady Morcar was on a par of that by Messrs Holmes & Watson. Excellent entertainment on a winters evening on the approach to yet another Christian festival. May we show due reverence to the geese at this time of the year. The port and plum preserve awaits to celebrate their arrival. A merry Christmas to each and everyone.

………actor Nigel Stock, ‘Dr Watson’ in this episode, played ‘William Marshal’ in 1968 film, ‘The Lion in Winter’. William Marshal was considered the best Knight whoever lived in England.

So wonderful to Michael Robbins I this show. Worked with him thirty years ago on on the busses . A real treat.

Absolutely was no need to change Henry Baker's back story. Also the Henry Baker portrayed in Jeremy Brett's SH was more apt.

Astonishingly, the man who played Peterson in this (who found the goose and thus the carbuncle within) played Henry Baker years later in the Jeremy Brett version of the Blue Carbuncle who LOST the goose in the first place!! Believe It or Not!
