What I don't understand is that there had to be a point where he thought, 'I am definitely too drunk, I should stop'. A depressingly large number of years ago, I got blitzed at a pub. I drank WAY more than I meant to despite knowing I had to drive home. Since it was more or less a straight road back to my house, I thought I'd make it. I drove a few feet and immediately realised this was a TERRIBLE idea, parked up and walked home and collected my car the next morning. This guy just kept crashing and kept going, with no party of his brain telling him he should probably stop. He could have parked up, walked home and probably at least gotten away with the drink-driving element.
