I love all Slavic accents and I love yours :) I went to see The Matrix when it first came out, and it was culturally shattering. People's minds were blown. Some of my friends left part way through because it was too terrifying. This movie is one of the great classics. I put it next to films like The Wizard of Oz. Singularly special!

I saw this movie on release accidently in the theater. (walked into the wrong theater and never left) When he locked Toad in the basement I figured out what he was doing as they had been giving us hints with his sickness the entire movie and then his last day putting everything in place. I think I bought 3 copies of this DVD as I was loaning them to everyone. Great movie and great reaction.

The effects you saw was not CG. CG wasn’t practical in the 80s. They had to use sculptures, animatronics, makeup and some stop motion animation to create the metal skeleton. They also used a miniature model to create the apocalyptic wasteland.

I’ve seen maybe 50 reactions to this movie. Somehow, this is probably my top 5. It’s amazing how I paid attention to both of your eyes scanning the captions and then looking up to see the scene. Fascinating and interesting way for me to view it.. I had no sound to get a cue from the reviewer but I paid even more attention because I wanted to see and was able to focus on the reaction to a movie I’ve seen a hundred times. Great job with this, y’all!

One thing this movie has taught me is just how absolutely catastrophic and grizzly a shipwreck can be. The water rushing at you, the ship breaking apart violently, mass casualties, and nobody can save you.
