That's the first review video that Ive seen of the XMID 2 with Durstons own flick poles. I bought them too when I got my tent, but have never used them. How do you think they compare to trekking poles? Also, I think you may get a better pitch if you peg out an entire short side first , nice and tight, then move along the length to do the third corner, still keeping it straight and tight, before doing the fourth and final corner. Regards, Wadi
@summit_two_sea_outdoors3 ай бұрын
@@wadirunner thanks for your comment Wadi 👍🏼 useful tip that, must admit I’ve never tried short side first, will definitely give that a go on our next outing 😊 I had my doubts about the z flick poles when they arrived, as you’ve seen they are much smaller/lighter than the trekking poles but they are fantastic. We had our tent pitched at buttermere in very strong winds and they held all nite. I’ve been pleasantly surprised, I use trekking poles a fair bit so always have them to hand should I need them. The main reason I got them was so I could pitch my tent and still have the trekking poles to hike from camp ( if staying lower than the peaks) 😆

@summit_two_sea_outdoors Your videos are good. I watch and follow quite a few that are very good too, but they haven't been picked up yet by others. I'm going to start pinning a channel for every video and short I put up. I didn't get any comments on my videos before, I get quite a few now. I'll pin yours soon at the top. I'm hoping everyone will see the channels I pin and then look. I let you know a few days before and then pin yours. You'll pick up. People love tent reviews and things like you did recently. I won't do it because my gear is poop💩😁 and it's not my thing. Many camping and hikers get their biggest views from gear reviews. Keep having fun. You'll pick up. Soon I'll send you 5-10 channels(hikers) They will watch and enjoy your videos and I'm sure you will like theirs too. I'll be in touch again 😁👋😉

That's a cool cave. Hope you get back out soon. Your last vid was great. Llyn Y Fach Llyn Y Fan Fawr. Just further on from the lake, up the steps and turn left there plane crash site. Hi Greeno 60, thanks for the kind comment 👍🏼 the walk starts at the Elterwater car park, just through the village you turn left. There is space for around 20 cars. The walk starts from there along the Cumbria way. It’s a stunning area and the first time I’d been here. Will definitely return.
