I have this Singer, but my presser foot lifter’s spring is broken. The presser foot comes out while sewing and the the needle breaks, because it hits the presser foot now loose.

Just loved the tutorial. thank you. I had one question about the lever in back of foot a little to the left. Found out that it was part of the buttonhole process. Been sewing all my life but have not done any for many years due to my 89 years and no more kids to sew for. Just purchased this 6180 and am looking forward to "getting in the grove again"!! The tutorial was so great. Very clear. Queston........I notice that there are two thread holders. Does it matter which one I use??

Hi Amanda, would it be possible to get a video tutorial re: how to load SVG pattern pieces into the sewnet software in order to cut fabric? I don't know how to verify the size of the pattern pieces in the software, so I keep getting a message that the pieces are too large for the mat size (even with the 24 x 24 mat). I appreciate any help you or anyone in the Singer education arena might be able to provide. Thank you! Sheryl

I got this machine and I am very unhappy. The lever you use to raise needle has a broken spring. Also thread bobbin holder is made of plastic so an error of needle scratches and damages this.

I am doing the exact steps and only managed to get it through one time by accident 😭 every other time it pulls back but not through the eye of the needle. Like what am i doing wrong??

A few years late but today January 9th 2025 my singer 4411 arrived today a belated Christmas present from a very very good friend your tutorial was excellent and a nice clear voice and proper terms I've done a bit of straight sewing today tomorrow and over the weekend I will get back in to my sewing mode I've been with out two sewing machines for approximately a month due to one being a second hand one I've had a great amount of use from over many years and a second machine I purchased a good few years ago both gave up the ghost with in weeks of one another and I've been reduced to just my server overlocker I can now get back to my main hobby I've got a few projects ready and waiting thank you for your tutorial

I had to look at mine with a magnifying glass and an LED light-the teeny tiny hook wasn’t going through the eye of the needle-I had to bend it toward the center and manually adjust the needle-it FINALLY works-what a headache!!
