James is back?? Where? This is one of the normal vocal register songs of the set list and it was hard for him to sing it. He can't pronounce well the lyrics because a big tension in his tongue. No, he's not back , saddly, and I presume he can sing by taking corticoids. It's hard to see him on stage, as a singer I can't imagine how difficult has to be doing a tour in this conditions.

John was my guitar teacher in the late 80's here on Long Island. I'd say it was probably around 20 or so lessons. Was recommended from a friend of mine, as he was taking them from him as well. Learned a lot and made me want to practice even more. They were playing a lot locally and I knew at some point they'd get big, but not to the degree they eventually achieved. The fact that they're are still doing it at the highest level right now is a testament to their talent and drive.

Labrie's voice sounds tired and sounds "old". As if being out of tune wasn't enough, he didn't even bother going into higher registers. I think he needs to rest a bit. Also, the other members of the group seem low energy and bored, probably because of Labrie.

Mate.. people are whining, rightfully so, that he shouldn't go for the high notes anymore because he can't reach them anymore. Now that he has finally adjusted the notes to his realistic range you say he's tired and old. It's never good enough lol

@@IcarusNadir both things can be true. Dream TR with labrie is like driving a supercar with a tercel engine. He really should have retired long ago, although I will say he has sounded worse than he does now.

@@roisenberg I can tell you that 2 years ago it wasn't that bad ( "a view from the top of the world tour"), and in 2020 for the 20th anniversary of Scenes from a Memory he was also better vocally. It is what it is, he is old, he is tired, and we got them midway into the tour - it takes its toll on everyone, let alone 60 year old dudes. EDIT: did you not record "The spirit carries on"? it was such a beautiful and emotional moment of the concert :')
