Huge drops are very scary but now I like them. It is just those launches that make me a bit scared especially hydraulic launches.

I love leviathan at canada's wonderland not only because the coaster itself fits the name but also because of the giant dragon sign on a fountain in front of the coaster. It intimidated me so much when I was younger and went there and I chickened out the whole day until finally at the end I decided to ride it and I loved it.

I straight up went from being terrified to wanting to be the first one on a ride after days of it being tested and under maintenance. I’m sorry, but I love the adrenaline rush of something feeling unsafe and dangerous. I know I’ll be fine, but it’s like crack to me. My friend and I went to Kings Island the other day, and we were lucky enough to hop on the Beast literal seconds after it opened after being down for maintenance for about a week and half. We literally joked about the damn thing derailing and how much fun we were gonna have.

I used to be terrified of rollercoasters. Even after having ridden a few, it still terrified me to ride one. Then there was one ride I took on the Diamondback at Kings Island. It was the last ride I rode that day, and when it was done I remember thinking “I want more of that”. I’m a junkie now. Had 15 rides the other day and still feeling the tightness in my back from riding. But frankly, I don’t care.

I can handle rollercoasters with drops, but once I went on the velociraptor ride at universal with how FAST it was and the whip lash it gave me…absolutely not. Though that wasn’t even that bad. I hate the drop rides the most though, like the tower of terror. Went on it for the first time to give it a try at the start of May and I almost passed out from how unpredictable it was with the different rise and falls of it. It was a cool experience overall, but I wish I didn’t have that type of reaction with drop rides.

As an enthusiast, I’ve been to so few parks I wouldn’t even have a tip 25. I’ve only ever been to Disney, universal, and kings island. I may go to cedar point this year, but I’m not sure. It makes sense that I’ve only been to those parks because I’m literally still a kid, yet somehow, I’m a coaster enthusiast.

I'm 40 and I didn't go to theme parks, or even fairground rides, as a kid as I grew up in the countryside miles away from anywhere, I have been terrified by just the thought of coasters and big rides my entire life As an adult we've taken our sons to theme parks but they're only just starting to get to the age where they want to go on bigger rides and my wife and kids wanted to go to Disneyland Paris so that's our holiday this year I went on my first proper coaster a few months ago (Vampire at Chessington... the "easiest" one at the park) to prepare for this and, honestly, I didn't enjoy it which put me in a negative head space for the rest of the day I now realise my mistake was twofold (A) I jumped on it first thing without warming myself up (&B) I didn’t embrace it... I was tense and wasn't breathing steadily which only internalised the experience and increased my stress levels My wife is concerened I am not going to have a good time because I am not into Disney either (not a political thing, I'm just not a fan of their movies) So she and I are going back to Chessington in a month and I am going to work my way up on other big rides before tackling the coasters I don't want to just stand on the sidelines and feel like I ruined their holiday!

If you don’t like seeing the drop before hand, do a coaster in the dark, like cosmic rewind, so you can’t really see the drops, but you still feel them. (As someone who doesn’t really like rollercoasters, cosmic rewind is fun. It really feels like your flying through space and you can barely see the drops if at all. Plus the carts rotate on the track)

I love how all of these are serious points, and I just broke my fear by getting on the wrong coaster and saying SCREW IT.

It annoys me that often just GP love wing coasters and enthusiasts do not. As an enthusiast I have to say that I consider them extremely underrated. Its my 2nd favourite B&M Model (behind the Giga/Hyper), which is because of the various forces and experiences you get on a wing coaster ride. There are positives, floater, hangtime, near misses and in general cool inversions, which I love much more than just get crushed with positives the whole ride (like on most B&M models)

for me ive been in 5 car accidents through 2 years and those same years ive went to theme parks and ive had no accidents.

At six flags fiesta Texas I almost got EJECTED from Superman krypton coaster because my restraint clicked 2 times than 3 times it clicked the 3rd time on the LIFT HILL and the worst part is was AVOVE WATER

I went on it, but im only ten so i definitely dont speak for everyone, every airtime hill (which is every hill) i couldnt touch the ground and i felt like i was gonna fall off. Also the restraint is very uncomfortable and there is an in-between the legs restraint that really hurts.
