Many years ago I worked for a company that automated greenhouse and nursery operations. Those systems would save 1000's of hours of labor yearly, with better consistancy than human operations.

Absolutely. I can take an old planter and literally make it into top end planter for a fraction of the cost of a new one.

Fascinating talk thank you for sharing! How long will the Dr. Toby mentioned that bare ground is hurtful to the fungi because it needs plants to survive. How long can it actually survive if no roots are present?

Great question. We'll see if we can get Dr. Toby back on the show for a follow up and will make sure to include this in the interview. Thanks!

My favorite soup is lentils soup!! Lentils with garlic, onion, carrots, celery, and a dash of paprika powder, a little crushed chili pepper and beef chucks in a insta pot 😋 then served with a big dollop of sour cream 🤤

You should use this medium with some charts / graphs or graphics, this seems way too long and hard to follow but I am hungry enough to eat some junk soy now :D

Thanks for the suggestion. I am actively trying to improve my video editing capabilities to include elements like this.

Would it be better to identify the crop - smaller dataset - and then apply weeding to Null crop plants.

Large herbivores are vitally necessary to the Carbon Cycle. The notion of destroying our cattle industry when there are not enough cattle in it to do the job that needs to be done by wild animals that no longer exist is chilling. The Rhizosphere is what contains the bulk of terrestrial carbon. Unless we dig it up, gas it off, and poison it with Monsanto products, it is the eventual resting place for all atmospheric carbon sequestered temporarily by any terrestrial lifeform. There's room for 1500 gigatons of carbon in just 50 million acres of North America's diminished farmland. Do some napkin math. Involve an AI with a solid library of properly sourced data. In order to repair the Rhizosphere over those 50 million acres, our cattle industry is going to need to be put to work. We need a migrating North American herd of billions of herbivores to spread out over diminished lands and get to doing what they evolved to do. The first step in processing organic waste back into living active soils is something has to eat, and then do what comes next. But they have to continuously move so that what comes next doesn't overwhelm the system and poison it. We need MORE livestock. And diverse livestock. Including insects of any and all edible variety. What we don't need is a centralized livestock industry that "efficiently" cuts away every and all natural processes from the product in order to maximize shelf stability, consistency, and price point. It's a closed system we have all the tools and opportunity to manipulate back toward a sustainable path. We simply have to end the common delusion that humans are not part of an ecosystem. Everything is dying around us to support this delusion. It has to be shattered immediately. We cannot wait for "common understanding".

Helping big agg in my opinion screws small farmers, it's selling out... They're just going to squash all of the smaller pasture raised chicken farmers. It's a nice thought that he has but he completely undermines the greed and corruption that conglomerate companies like Purdue possess, they will still sell high cause its pasture raised, pushed mRNA and all the b.s they're talking about putting into chicken mean lately, and also push small farmers off the market.

The Earth is cooler with the atmos/GHGs/albedo not warmer. To perform as advertised the GHGs require “extra” energy upwelling from the surface radiating as a black body. (kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZnvMm6ptYr56Y7c) The kinetic heat transfer processes of the contiguous atmos molecules render that scenario impossible. No greenhouse effect, no GHG warming, no man/CO2 driven climate change or Gorebal warming.

I am currently studying for Praxis 5701 AG. My bachelor's degree is in a different field so in order for me to get into Auburn's Agriscience Masters in Education I have to take the Praxis first. I have been studying for the last few weeks and have taken a practice test. I noticed I was low on some things but the two areas I struggled the most were, Animal systems and Environmental and Natural Resource systems.
