After sandblasting, I'm still thinking about what to do. Either I start repairing all the holes or start on a donor car with better conditions.😅

if it was a n american car you could buy every panel for it dirt cheap

On this cars the panels are not so expensive, but the shipping is…

I worked on an AK400, used sodablasting as the metal is so thin, with sandblasting there is a risk to deform it. They all rust in the same spots, we also had todo the front part of the chassis. We used CuSi-3 MIG wire as the new floorpans and footwell where galvanized.

Hello Marcus, All the best for your restoration. I also have my 1986 Acadiane and I traveled in 1993 to North cap with it. I met lot of Citroen enthusiasts in Scandinavia including my friends from Kungalv, suburb of Gothenburg. Do you have any news of Ingmar and Britt Marie Segerson ? They must be part of the Citroen club. They traveled in the 80's to Portugal with a 1954 A 2cv

Hello and thanks for the comment. The body will be thoroughly cleaned of sand before painting with the epoxy paint. Should think about inhalation of sand 🙏😃 Thank you
@skrubisR8 ай бұрын
be careful of the sand accumulating in closed pockets in the body - it will rot out in months, not years. Also - the sand particles are sharp, don't breathe them in.

Great series, I have an Acad now as well as a Dyane, have you seen these I made in lockdown? The uniqueness of bodywork with 0.7mm steel. I fabricate a lot and try to keep panels where I can, look forward to seeing more, subscribed :-) kzbin.info/www/bejne/e6jcaX2BrJ2fgpo

Hello. thanks for your comment, I will dive deeper into the rust issues in the next 2 videos. I may have to use parts such as the roof from my donor car. We'll see when I blast the parts on the body 😃
