Damn! I had no idea there were ghost notes on the snare! That’s what I’ve been missing!! Thank you and well done!

I know I'll get hate, but i don't get the burst hype. Especially, for the price. Nice guitar. I'd definitely play it and love it. But no way in hell would i pay a fortune for this guitar. I just don't get it.

I wonder what strings he was using. It does contribute to the clarity of the notes. Some strings are so bright that I immediately changed them and was glad that I did.

Good drumming, but I just don't hear all those gracenotes in the original. To me its that 'smack' on the snare that drives "Levee". The playing here is good, but to my ears the all those snare gracenotes give it to much shuffle. Am I wrong? (serious question)
@Eryn_bandАй бұрын
It states in the caption that he is doing that to emulate the delay from the studio.
@shanewatkins7491Ай бұрын
@Eryn_band yeah, I saw that, still seems like too much, though. Just feels off compared to the original. To each his own I supppse.

You not only got the pattern but managed to capture his kit sound. 😊 always a fan of the open BD sound, but it works here and in jazz... which greatly influenced Bonzos drumming(but you would have already known that)

The original definitely had more of what I call shimmer. It's not really fair to call the others "muddy", because they're not but there is distinct difference in clarity.

Cool video! Question: can the action be strictly adjusted by the bridge screws while putting on new strings or do I need to mess with bridge and truss rod? Thanks to anyone to answer this!

PhaeZ "McClane" is as close as you'll get now, and for $700 to $900? No question. I own two.. 18 watt, and a 35 watt version... Definitely a volume sweeper's amp.. Superb Amps...

How did you get the led to change with the speed change? I wanted to do the same with my LEDs in my 147. I would love for it to switch to strobe when I’m in fast, & maybe a slow pulse on chorale. (Just an idea)
@MOBontvАй бұрын
My friend chris that worked on it put a relay in the switching. Very cool of him to have done that 20 years ago. It actually helps me know what speed I'm on when on bigger stages. Glad you dig

@MATT, all Custom shop Historic Les paul's are structurally the same regardless of year but in 2013 and beyond Gibson started to upgrade some things to more closely match a old late 50's LP like they removed the truss rod sheath, they started to use Hide glue for the neck joint and fingerboard attachment, (the tops never used Hide glue it was Phenol formaldehyde that was used in the 50's). the plastics got more historically accurate as the years progressed and 2013 to present all Historic R8,9 and 0's all got "Custombuckers" which to some are Gibsons best "PAF".
@CS_Murphy_R95 ай бұрын
@MATT, Due to the fact that back in the 50s there were no designated neck or bridge model Pick ups like we have today So Gibson was not particular about which PAF went where.👍😂
