Its 2024, sorry you didn't know that a drum chipper is the way to go and not a disk chipper. Disk is best with auto feed. Drum is best for gravity chippers as it pulls the sticks, also costs less

I have one of these. After 2 hours of chipping dry western juniper - shaggy bark cedar, both blades were heavily chipped. Western cedar is extremely hard when dry. I had to flip the blades around. The machine itself is pretty beefy and does a great job. But here are a few things you might want to consider. It appears that only a few parts are stocked here in the US. I ordered the extra belts, blades and cover.. Still waiting for them to arrive. It's been 2 weeks since I got the chipper. They were shipped from mainland China. I had a few issues with the shipping. The unit was damaged in transit. Gas cap broke, rope pull crushed, gas tank and exhaust shield damaged. One key was broke and other was missing. The company was quick to send replacements, but they are also coming from mainland China. So if you are using this machine in a commercial capacity, Order several sets of blades and belts.. Otherwise, your machine might be down for several weeks waiting for parts.

I appreciate you sharing your experience and advice! For the money, these chippers are worth it.
@quercuslobata3776Ай бұрын
@nolanklein3370 Absolutely! You can buy a better machine, but it will cost you a lot more . Good value, well built. But I was a bit disappointed with the blade quality. I wish they had a carbide option. Was thinking of seeing if the blades could be tempered better. Got my additional belts, etc, yesterday evening. I have the Ducar and it runs great. Should have the damaged part replacements in a couple of weeks. Company responded immediately, which was great. I am going to add an hour meter. One other thing that I noticed was the trailer tongue seems a bit long. Unless your truck and chipper are in a straight line, a big portion of the chips miss the bed. Not a big issue for me, but a landscaping company might have an issue working on the street.
@quercuslobata3776Ай бұрын
@nolanklein3370 I should mention, be sure to check the feed end for hard chunks of wood that might be caught between the drum and bed. Do this before starting. If one is caught, the drum won't spin. Belts will slip. I thought all the wood had been chipped and discharged, but one small half inch thick by 4 inch piece was left in the hopper. When I went to restart it got wedged.

Yes! Sometimes if you are chipping, a very thick 5 inch branch. It will not throw the chips as far and about 5 to 10% of the wood chip don’t make it to the bed. 90% of chips make it into bed

I didn’t film at the job I took it to, but it did chip 4-5 inch, almost log length perfectly fine, although at that point, that’s firewood size. Get the chipper thought, it’s great for the money. 10/10

Mate , hard work can only be done with a hard , heavy machine , this company are expert at getting very many versatile solutions out of their products , but the base unit needs to be heavy to continue standing upright . There was always a safety sticker inside Bobcat ROPS cages , which reads "WARNING -AMONESTACION - CARRY LOAD LOW , it really means it ! we work bobcats by in effect strapping them to your back , I,ve picked up a big bale in a little bobcat muck grab & positioned it , to the disbelief of my mate , because I was skating along on just the front wheels & couldn,t feel it . Work safe mate or work dead .

Bucket was up to high. Judging what I see you don't need to brushhog. A small trailer will work for moving the boat. cheers
