20年前か。高校卒業して就職して、手取り14万とかで、それでもまだ友達とバカしてたりしてて。楽しかったな。同じ会社で働き続けて、今は会社の中で一番大きい支社で課長して、直属の部下が30人以上いて、結婚して、子どももいて、家も建てて。幸せなのはわかってる。でも、なんか違うんだよな(°▽°)

I'm closing on a house in 2 weeks that has these upper cabinets. One question, I'm concerned about the popcorn ceilings. What did you do about the space that was left behind from that cabinets? Is it just a random smooth spot now?

If I close on my house in two weeks the first thing I am doing is removing a wetbar in the living room, second thing is removing a very similar cabinet! Thank you, I was trying to figure out easiest way to do by myself.

If you really think you can do it, you probably can. It really wasn't difficult - just go a little bit at a time and watch everything closely. When I first started prying on it (before this video) the cabinet on the other wall started pulling away from the wall because this one was holding it up. I slid a board into the very top of it and screwed through into the studs to better secure it to the wall before removing the other.

That's a clean removal. How did you originally separate the cabinet from ceiling at first?

It had crown molding around it. I removed that, but the cabinet was just nailed to the ceiling joists. I just pried it loose - the whole removal, except for the crown, was in the video.

What is that you have on the cabinet.

Above the cabinet is just the furdown. I cut a hole in it to see where it was attached to the ceiling. On the countertop are just a couple of saw horses on their side to hold the upper when it was coming down.
