For the engineers: reverb on vocals almost never sound good. Unless you’re possessed by the ghost of John Lennon’s engineers, just don’t. It doesn’t add anything except distraction. Less is more. Oh, the band sounds cracking at this supposed disastrous concert.

The media and KZbinrs grossly exaggerated how bad this gig really was. If anything it's the most punk-like I've ever heard Oasis sound what with the guitars and drumming sounding so rudimentary and Liam seemingly channelling the spirit of Johnny Rotten! The sound had more edge to it than many of their stadium performances.

Liam's voice is pure fire, effortlessly sustained, it's insane how strong his voice was, that he could sing at such a high pitch for so long, with such a raw edge, so clearly, never shying away from the high notes like so many live rock vocalists do, never even seeming to find it hard. This is the most amazing live vocal I've ever seen. But it's all down to his youth, I think he lost that amazing ability within a year of this show, maybe sooner, and to be honest, it's not surprising, it must have been incredibly physically demanding to sing like this, it really required that pure, raw youthfulness. The slightest onset of ageing would take away that magic quality. I really have a newfound respect for Oasis after seeing this video, even though i think they got bad really quickly, they were clearly something very, very special at the beginning.

if this is 1 of their worst shows, its is miles apart from 99% of bands i have seen since 1988. They are Rock GODS!!! and I cannot wait until Wembley 2025!!!

No wonder Noel was so angry and left! This was a massive chance to make it in America straight away even before morning glory and it was perfect timing as Nirvana were done and everyone stopped listening to grunge and all they had was green day but Liam seemed intent or to scared to make it in America everytime they had a chance messed up mtv unplugged messed up awards shows and people saying they sound great here are tone deaf and not musicians!!

The fact noel had a strop and took a swing at liam after this is criminal. Liam did a decent job.. if you ask me what was wrong im 3 songs in and id say the levels are fucked.. noels vocals were shite.. and guigsy fucked up the rock and roll star chorus forcing them to start the song over... but liam did what liam does best and did it as well as ever.. very impressive if he was wired on meth 😅
