Aggression is an evolutionary trait for a reason. We don’t live in a world absent of scarcity in which every need is met. That’s the inescapable burden of existence because if desire was satiable at all life would lose its motivation.

I last ate McD's when Cheeseburgers were 39cents each... I do remember their most excellent mini pizzas, though they soon vanished because the big pizza chains complained... As for Fries - I stopped buying them when they became 'limp' - probably around the same time.

The problem with French fries is the potatoes. They start turning into sugar when your saliva touches them. Of course the seed oil shortening they’re fried in makes the problem worse.
@jw770193 ай бұрын
Now they would never go back to tallow because seed oil shortening is cheaper. Their fries were so good and their hot apple pie before they changed it too. Whataburger fried pies are similar to the original McDonalds apple pies. The original McDonald’s pies were better.

If you get a chance, go to the Denton, Texas campus of Texas Woman's University and visit The Women's Collection in the Blagg-Huey Library. The Women's Collection houses the Official WASP Archive. While working on a Master of Library Science degree, my wife worked in the Archive and had the opportunity to transcribe some of the letters WAPSs donated to the Archive. It was heartbreaking to read some of those letters -- especially those that talked about crashes and how the women funded return of remains to families. These women deserved far better than they got. And they -- and their sterling contributions to the war effort -- deserve to be remembered!

Yeah. Before the whole “trans fats are the devil” fad, McDonald’s had amazing fries. Go to Japan and you can still get them fried the original way. So freaking good.

Beef Tallow is actually not bad for you and it's got a lot of nutritional benefits. There's some kind of weird politics behind the food diagram and all of that nonsense that they say we should eat and what's good for us and what's not.

What she said is very important. When companies switch to seed oils in the 70s the obesity rate sky rocketed in the US. The same correlation could be argued with brain cancer and Diet Coke/artificial sugars.

That’s so sad! Have we not learned that they were right when they first started?! Animal fat is way healthier than seed/vegetable oils. There are so many studies to prove this but seed/vegetable oil is cheep. And profit is what they are most concerned about.

Jane Goodell shouldve raised a pet chimp... I think she would have had the best chance to raise one
@mmtm352910 ай бұрын
There is video footage of certain chimpanzee populations that consume fruit which has been fermenting. Due to the fermentation the fruit develops a level of alcohol. In humans, violent behavior can be directly attributed to excess alcohol consumption. Certain edible plants found in Africa have been known to cause violent behaviors in humans. I wouldn't be surprised if chimpanzee populations consume those plants. Combined with a lack of resources due to deforestation, it's no wonder why chimps resort to violent behaviors

Ironically, McDonalds fries are still the best of a sad bunch of fast food fries today. If you want the classic recipe for McDonalds fries, read Ray Kroc’s autobiography, “Grinding It Out”. Don’t forget to “cure” the potatoes, as he described.
